For the tomorrow's that never came

Amidst the cyclonic red alert out here, and a heavy downpour, sitting with cup of coffee and here I get this though!

How often have we said about calling our loved ones and never
did? Also what about that thought? About saying a thank you for the help you received?

Ahh … about thinking of apologizing tomorrow for being rude to your buddy? of course for your mistake! Yeah!! you never did?

The list of things that that we want to do for tomorrows kind of fill the to-do list we all have! But the tomorrows often fail to come.

No I am not pinging the guilt consciousness in us, maybe just trying to be an alarm clock which we would anyhow snooze coz we all know that

 “Those tomorrows!! may never come.

Warmth over a cup of tea!

The humming tune of “Kaathale kaathale” from the movie 96 by Trisha Krishnan and Vijay Sethupathi  was being subconsciously playing in mind when the screen of my cellphone displayed “Snooze” and “Dismiss”.

It accompanied with a loud tune , and by default my hands touched the snooze icon.

One blink later I could see my roommate waking me up asking me to head to the reading room to finish off the pending portions of my studies.

Being hundreds of kilometre away from your home, amidst people with whom your language doesn’t sync is a whole different experience to me.

Among handful places well known for CA studies Guntur was the one where we came, to diligently do our so called '6 months of rigorous Study!"

A typical day starts at around 5 in the morning with shivering cold bath and a walk with hoodie to study room.

Classes, food, more food, slumbers in between, mockery and stupid jokes to keep up our sanity followed by planning numerous times and then re planning multiple more times on how we could crack this Course is how our day usually rolls.

Amidst all these frustrations running around in our head, ordering various kinds of tea to a person whose language we don’t understand is quite a tedious task.

A few cups of these beverages are mandatory to me without which my internal system hangs.

And who could understand this human aspect better than the person who prepares this warm cup of beverage ?

Seeing my struggle with the language and my sleep deprived eyes he made sure that I felt homely!

Making sure that my hands didn’t burn with hot cup of freshly brewed tea, I was given the double glass! Making me realise, be it any place around,

There is always this warmth over a cup of tea!

Unclicking the Click

It’s often seen within us that we tend to get along with a few people really good. Meeting up with them, a few sound conversations and right exactly at that moment..... you feel the “click!”

'That click' which isn't something that you would often hear people saying "I skipped my heart beat" or love at first sight types; this is kind of less intense in terms of speed but I feel its deep in terms of how we feel.

Over the period of time, somewhere amidst this immersing ourselves with that clicked one, we get lost, even to that extent that we lose ourselves.

At times it so happens that we tend to create a maze around ourselves and forget our way out of that maze.

Amidst all this a question pops up “Was that click too deceptive?” If not, how should we actually respond that click?

They say too much of anything is venomous, so can we de-venomise us from the click?

Maybe by learning the art of un-clicking?

Or...... maybe not!

The Right Association.

Praying the almighty has always been one thing that I find solace with and lighting incense is habit that I have cultivated since I was a kid.

It so happened yesterday that I was holding the incense in my hand and was lost in a deep thought, the incense was almost 2 inch away from diya and never really touched the lit up diya. But drafting back into sense I noticed that there was this incense almost in verge of being lit up and it did within next two second.

I was curious and repeated the same thing today making sure I did not touch the incense to the diya, but within a few seconds it got lit up!

It was kind of eureka moment to me. That very well explained this “We ought to be around the right people with right thoughts!”

It felt like “People” are the fire in the diya, the positive vibes of people are the real warmth that we need, which will elevate our life to a considerable extend if we are around them.

Like the same way the fire in diya which helped the incense light itself up and let it serve its purpose.

But what happens if the people are naysayers? Or the negative ones?

That would also be like fire, but not the one that would help us to light up our life, but the fire that would burn us down, which would make us to just fade away without even realizing what was our purpose!

To be lit up with the fire and serve the purpose? Or to just burn down without knowing why?

Or being the fire to someone and help them light their life?

I guess the choice is ours to make.

Wishing Happiness!

Amidst the Chaos of the books all around me, I long for the time when I get to hit the gym and sweat out. On a lighter note, I am one of the skinniest person I know who needs to seriously put on some weight.

Emergence of summer is kind of messy everywhere, and like most part of our country, water is the obvious scarce resource and the same is situation in Bangalore too.

It’s commonly seen around that construction labourer and other daily wagers take out water from normal home pipe for their use.

As I was walking downstairs from my home off to gym, I had noticed a man humming while he was collecting water in his plastic pot. I had parked my Activa beside the tap and as always it was dusty so I had to take out the cleaning cloth and wipe the seats.

Seeing me in shorts and oversized tee shirts, he just stared at me and started saying “You know what? Things that are needed for all to excel in this world is strength and at the age as yours you need to be strong, wise and happy and he wished me the that i become strong, wise and happy.

I was pretty amused by the comment and said him that I really thank him for his wishes.

 It really made me happy!

“Anna, what do we lose in wishing people happiness, Everyone should be happy in their life” was what he said as he took his plastic pot and left.

Common is so Uncommon

As I sit in my class with the faculty solving a simple problem and yelling at us, saying, “where have we lost our common sense’, He declares ‘The common sense has become so uncommon these days”

I start wondering what actually hasn’t become uncommon.

Human intellectual is something that has very less of a competition. The thoughts that it generates are innumerous and are matchless. I would say only one word would describe intellectual well – “It’s AMAZING”. We actually are born with the uncommon thinking ability.

There was a time where in we were made to do certain things in certain way, something like follow the path that everyone followed.

Then as we grew up and started to think out of the box, we did the same thing in many innovative ways. This of course was a great revolution in liberalizing our monotonous thought process.

But I feel then started a phase, where in we started getting a notion that unless you do things in an uncommon way, you are still a below average person who lacked the ability to think out of box.

A phase which I would like to term as “Obsession of being Uncommon”

Seeing through these developments that’s happening around, I ask myself,

“Is being common something really bad?

Or is the obsession of being uncommon something good?

Aren’t we losing some good commonness in us while we are occupied in competition within ourselves trying to become uncommon in everything that we do?

I feel we are…..

From ideas .... to actions

Each individual is super creative.

The habits and routines that he adapts turns him into mediocre soul, by being so- it is quite difficult to quantify what we have actually lost.

Ideas pop up in each individual’s mind almost at all the times. The sources for ideas are countless; at times we get weird ideas when we are walking down the sidewalks, at times it’s from the article that we read in a newspaper. Even when staring at stars or sipping hot coffee our mind generates lots of good outputs.

The question is, if there are so many ideas around us why on earth are we still mediocre? Why are we doing the same boring things that we hate doing?

Where do the ideas disappear? Why aren’t we able to implement them?

The answer to this question was pretty simple, “Our brain actually does things that make us feel good rather than what actually is good”

We feel good thinking about the idea, but articulating the thoughts into action isn’t so much pleasant thing! We have to go through some pain to do the action.

We do not feel good to take a piece of paper, write down our idea, research about its practicality…… and so on. And we procrastinate action till the idea is almost killed.

As said by Robin Sharma “The best leader never leaves the site of a good idea without doing something- no matter how small – to breathe some life into it.

Don’t just let your idea die its own death even before it’s born.

Start acting on your ideas! Give it a new life
