The habit of reading

It has been a very pleasant week. The rains have started and the trees are full on with greens. And as there isn’t much of work to do except for planting some veggies and going to shop, I start with few books.

I knew I had a craze for reading books but I never thought I would be reading it so crazily that I would complete 5 books in a week! Reading definitely is a good habit, never knew it would change my viewpoints and way of thinking greatly, more than that it has expanded my box of knowledge.

Got to accept that the habit of reading doesn’t come easily to anyone, we have to work on it which is quite similar to other good habits. Good habits are hard to acquire you know!  But it is not an impossible thing to get.

Many people just say absolute ‘no’ to reading, they think reading is the thing which is related to academics, which isn’t a true thing. One cannot get the pleasure of reading without actually reading!

Few tips to the ones who want to start reading book but feel it as boring.

Step1. Pick up a book. If you are nowhere near a book, how are you supposed to read? Try finding something to read. That can be anything, including newspapers, magazines, novels etc. you have got to choose the book of your level. The high level book surely makes to feel bored from the minute you start it

Step2. Practice your reading habit. Now that you have found the book which interests you, you can set goal of reading 10-15 minutes a day. During this reading time you aren’t supposed to do anything but read. After you finally feel comfortable with the short time, you can increase it later on.

Step3. Don’t give up. If you don’t complete your task please don’t be ashamed and give up, remember ‘winners never quit’ you just have to try again till you achieve it.

Step4. Before starting a book read the small description. Before starting any book you have got to read the small description which is given at the back cover of the book. It gives you a small idea on what the book actually is

Step5. Read the review of the book before taking up any book. You can get the review of any book from the people who have actually read the book. It gives you an idea on what the book actually is. This gives you an opportunity not pick an uninteresting book at the beginning itself.

Reading doesn’t mean to read only books or magazines, you can even try out to read from blogs or websites which interests you.

Yeah! That’s it, the 5 simple steps to develop a habit of reading, wish you a happy reading. Enjoy

Completed a book..

It was a sunny day out here and I just finished reading the book ‘mistakes like love and sex’ by Madhuri Bannerjee. The book is a sequel of ‘losing my virginity and other dumb ideas’. The way the author wrote was immensely good. Found something new in the book. We can see the life of a middle aged woman who is still confused about what to do in her life. One can also get a thing that it’s never too late to do anything. Was happy to see a Indian writer writing so freely about the love making in her book. I guess it needs guts to write those words and get them published. Would like to say the line which I loved the most in the book ‘’ laugh when you can, apologize when you should, and let go of what you can’t change, Love deeply and forgive quickly.’’

First one

My first post. I had read somewhere that the 1st post is what people see in most of the blogs so it should at least be okay type.
Had made a blog long ago, but restarted blogging in middle of a significant exam for any student of CA(chartered accountancy)  i.e IPCC (integrated professional competence course). I still don’t know from where the idea of blogging popped up. But I am happy now that I restarted it back. Wish my readers a happy reading.
