As social animals, we human beings are very much dependent on
many a things. Apart from air, food and water I feel we are now much more
dependent on the invention called as ‘internet’.
In the technologically growing world of ours, the only thing
that’s constant is “Change”. We very much rely on the changes these days, some
of those changes that make our lives easier other few would at least seem to
make our lives easier.
Internet is one of the medium that has helped us significantly
in the process of obtaining the change. Quite a lot of inventions were only
possible due to the usage of internet.
Be it the instant text message you get when you use the ATM card
to withdraw the money or receiving the beautiful image of the rising sun on
your whatsapp instant messenger. All are with the help of internet. The usage
varies widely from productive stuffs to unproductive ones.
The internet is being used in almost all of the activities we do
today. We are so much relied on it that few moments of disconnection from internet
seems like a most complex situation.
After watching a ted talk, the question that has been bothering
me since a long time is that, what if, one fine day the whole of internet
crashes and disappears? Something irreversible situation such as there is no
internet from that point of time!
What would be the effect on us the humans if such a situation
arises in the world? Even though we may neglect the question, the truth is
there is an extreme need and necessity for an alternative. Something as
convenient as internet that doesn’t use internet.
Hope such inventions would come soon in our lives and the new
change may help us during the possible crisis of failure of internet.
