Thinking out of the box!

One of the biggest problems with we people is that either we are said to think inside some boundaries or else we are said to think out of the box, a thought did occur in my mind about why we should think there is something called as a boundary?

Why should we only be allowed to think out of the box rather, why not think that there is no box at all?

During attending the class of strategic management, the rule number one that the professor had said to us was to be odd man out!
I.e. be something different, if everyone is doing a thing, let me do something other, something totally weird or do something which cannot be compared!!

I feel the thing is, at all stages of our lives, we are compared, something like, am I better than my far related cousin or am I doing better than my colleague or so on.

Problem arises only when you are having a competition, or comparisons.

When you be something or do something where in you are totally un comparable, then you obviously got to win!

Be it in any field this seems to work!

Be it the example of exams. If I am answering those questions which all of them answer, there would be surely some sort of comparison!

And if your answer is less better than others, obviously you would be given lesser grades! When you answer those questions which no one would even think of answering, then obviously there is no one to compare your answers with!

The same would apply if I am an employee, if I am doing the work in something so monotonous and in the same way as all are doing, I would obviously be compared, said I am less efficient or so, but by doing the work in some different and better efficient way, both my employer as well as me would in advantage!

Till the time we won’t think in some opposite way, we would be one among the crowd itself,

But the moment we start to think and implement the real different and unique approach! We would be reaching a way different level!

The role of having a correct Belief.

On this boring weekend, I was looking into some videos which was in my laptop and by chance, got to watch a 5 minute video on the topic ‘Belief’ by TT Rangarajan.

In our lives, based on the belief we have, we would start to deal with any individual. Irrespective of any relationship or any bonding we have with them, the way we behave totally depends on the belief we have about that individual.

I’d like to quote an example which was said in that video, "In the great epic Mahabharata, even though Duryodhana, who had immense trust over his friends and wife, was not at all respected as everyone had the belief that he belongs to the “bad side”.

Whereas in the epic Ramayana, lord Ram, even though had asked queen Seetha to jump into the fire to prove her purity, is seen with immense devotion and respect as the belief towards lord Ram is so much positive.

The belief we have towards anyone makes us judge on the deeds done by that individual!

I personally had a belief regarding one of my writer friend as a sharp critic, who would criticize without seeing much of the effects, this belief actually blurred my vision regarding her and made me think that everything she says is criticism, which actually were not.

The bad deeds done by any individual whom we believe to be a good is generalized and slips away as something very bad, whereas good deeds done by any individual who we believe to be bad, would obviously go unnoticed!

I remember an instance where in all had a notion that one of our classmates as a miser! There was a firm belief in our minds that he would not spend anything irrespective of him earning or having a good amount of money.

So even when he literally spends money for some good cause of so, there would be a false notion in our minds that he does that in order to derive some future economic benefit and not without any good reasons.

Ending this with a small quote, again from the video itself, “If the quality of our relationship with almost anything has to improve then the quality of belief in that relationship has to change”.

We can never have a good relationship with any one when we have a negative belief about them. No matter what, our belief plays a role in dealing anything with an individual.

As soon as our belief towards anyone/anything changes, All other things would change by itself.

The effect of feeling good.

Everyone wants to feel good at almost all the time in their life.

For all, the ‘feeling good’ plays a major role in most of the decisions they make. Their approach changes or way of talking changes and many times the way they respond significantly changes when they feel good.

Feeling good is much closely related to deriving that essence of happiness by doing something that makes us happy, or we can say it like doing things that relieves us from the sadness.

The problem with ‘Feeling good’ is, it may only feel good and not be something literally good for us mentally, physically or emotionally.

I would like to say about a close one of mine who had this thing of feeling good when she ate chocolates or something sweet.

There would be an irresistible craving and mood swing if something sweet isn’t consumed! Of course after having the sugary content she may feel good, but is it literally good for her?

Similarly one may feel good by riding the 2 wheeler at a great speed, but a question surely arises in a sensible mind that, by the desire to feel good aren’t we just compromising our safety?

We have become obsessed with the idea of feeling good that, for feeling good we are literally are spoiling ourselves in different ways.

Few of us even get addicted to some of not so cool things, only to get the good feeling.

It’s a high time for us to start to analyze on the things that makes us feel good.

Things that may seem good may actually be something very bad to you that may hinder you both physically as well as emotionally.

The good needn’t always be good, it can even be worse too!

Glimpses from her eyes.

She looked dull and behind that evergreen cute smile, her face showed the clear cut exhaustion. It was her final year at the college.

At that particular time when all of them were enjoying the events, there she was at the corner of the stage organizing the programs and helping the other organizers to run the functions smoothly.

Food was the thing that she had just once a day! Rest of the times all she could rely upon were the juices from the tetra packs.

Skinny she was from quite a long time but had with her the enthusiasm which was quite hard to be seen among others.

She was quite matchless when it came to the dedication!

It quite saddened her that even her best of friends had plenty time to change their attires 3 times a day! And post pictures on Facebook for unlimited times but not bothered to ask her even if she had a proper food.

By shedding tears from past 2 days her eyes had dried, still she was glad that no one had noticed that. But one thing had been clear in her mind that now she knew who should be relied on and who should be kicked out.

Soon the morning turned noon and then came the night,

With the same enthusiasm, positive energy and now filled with wisdom, she was leaving the negativity behind her back, which clearly showed that she was back on track.

Not always life goes on with assumptions.

I am that kind of person who thinks a bit extra for each and every situation!

Before doing anything we would very well analyze the consequence of doing it. Something like, what would happen if we speak in certain manner with elderly people or what will be consequence if I go and behave rudely with an arrogant bus conductor or something like the idea of complimenting a good looking lady!

There would be countless situations in our lives wherein we just go on assuming the consequences or the responses from other sides!

Be it something very much positive thing such as planting few sapling and nurturing it, we assume that we won’t be having time to look after it so, let us not plant any!

Or supposedly when a girl/guy pings you and says “If you feel like speaking to me please do text or call me” We start to assume lots of hidden possibilities with that sentence!

Assumption may range from the person liking you or having a best friend who may be interested in you or so on…. In reality that girl/guy might just want to talk to you and nothing else! May be just wanted to have a meaningful conversation!!

Assumptions make us overthink!

Many a times we start to think on those items which hinder our productivity! Our minds will be occupied by useless stuffs which simply waste our time and spoil our mood!

Rather than go on assuming things, why not we bring the plan into action! And overthink later on?

Not always life goes on with assumptions!

Sometimes we just have to let things happen, because there are many things in life that would possibly happen much more wonderfully than what we can assume it to happen!
