Happiness.

In the current lifestyle which we follow, it’s a usual thing to be stressful. Obviously the hectic work schedules of the employees, the never ending tuition and extra coaching classes of the kids. The pressure to get a good career for the college students are few reasons for the stress.

Amidst these hectic schedules we have lost something known as ‘Being Happy’.

Happiness is hardly seen anywhere today. When we walk across the street in a city, more than 90 percent of the people will surely appear very much occupied with their stress.

The concepts of happiness are very much misunderstood nowadays. It’s thought something as getting more things or being ahead of someone.

Few things like getting more likes for a profile picture on Facebook are considered as happiness now. When another person gets more likes surely this happiness vanishes soon, why? Because it seems as if that person has won something and we have lost.

Many a times! Even when a person gets a job with a good pay he doesn’t seem happy, the reason may even be as small as some cousin of his is being paid more! We often start to feel happy when we are better than someone else.

What we forget is when another person overtakes us the happiness which we have got is soon lost and every time someone does something better or gets something better we start to get a churn in our stomach.

We have narrowed the concept of happiness to a great extent and have actually forgotten numerous reasons which lie right in front of us for being happy.

Few small things such as being happy on receiving complement for the new dress that we have worn or something as being happy when mom makes a tasty dish or when a best friend gives a tight hug for supporting him are things to be cherished.

It just takes little efforts from our side to be happy.

When we stop comparing ourselves with others and get out of the mentality of ‘The more we have the happier we are’ then, we would start seeing happiness in small things that are around us and our life would be much happier.
