Success doesn't depend on what you learn, but on what you implement.

When I was reading a blog post on ‘The leader of tomorrow’ by Maxine schiffmann she used a sentence,

‘Success doesn't depend on what you learn, but on what you implement’

Right from a young age we are said that only if we study hard we would excel in exams, only then good companies would hire us and give us a good paying job. We are made to learn and learn but are not taught how to implement what we have learnt.

It seems as if we are so much programmed in our life and are made to learn so many things. Starting back from the kg classes we were taught various subjects, as we grew up the things we learn multiplied. From mere addition and subtractions we moved to algebra, physics, management and much more things.

For much of our life we keep on learning various things and what next! No one knows!

I feel I have not implemented the 90 percent of the things which I have learnt in my life.

Just learning without implementing isn’t a useful thing. It’s something like I have gone to marketing and sales classes, learnt the ways of selling an item by numerous techniques but, I am not stepping out to do sales.

Another example is of learning everything about healthy exercises and diet plans and yoga for a healthy lifestyle and not implementing anyone of them in our life.

If we just keep learning and don’t implement anything that we have learnt then it’s something like being very much stagnant, there are lakhs of people in this world who have learnt so many things but have failed to implement them. They are same now as they were when they had started their life, almost without any progress.

The counting of the progress starts as soon as we start to implement the things that we have learnt. It’s very much useless in just knowing the things without implementing them.

I strongly feel the line said by Maxine does have a greater meaning in itself.

Surely the success doesn’t depend on what we just learn; without a doubt it depends on what we implement’
